Job Details Job Location: Bethany Campus - Bethany, OK 73008 Position Type: Staff Full-Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Full Time / Hourly / Non-Exempt Work Schedule Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Job Summary An IT Support Desktop Technician is responsible for delivering technical assistance to SNU students and SNU employees encountering computer-related issues. Key duties encompass installing and configuring computer hardware and software, providing both remote and onsite support, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation. This role necessitates a robust understanding of computer networks, operating systems, and related technological concepts. Customer services and problems-solving skills are essential, as IT Support Desktop Technicians frequently need to convey technical information to individuals without a technical background. Responsibilities Provide phone and desktop support, including hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Assist users with password management, printing, and email-related issues. Install applications and assign user permissions as required. Set up hardware and software for special events. Maintain proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems. Demonstrate Working knowledge of Active Directory, Gmail, and Microsoft Office Research and troubleshoot software-related issues effectively. Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels and departments with the University. Foster and maintain positive interpersonal relationships. Work independently with minimal supervision. Deliver high-quality customer service. Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Southern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene. High school graduate Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast paced work environment Typing and spelling competency Experience with various computer software applications Data entry experience Preferred Qualifications Some college coursework Experience in higher education Supervision Received Receives supervision and work assignments from a designated supervisor, although other staff members in the unit may provide work direction. Supervision Exercised May be responsible for the coordination of work assignments for student employees.
