Senior Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a enior Electronics Hardware Design Engineer and help create innovative hardware solutions to join our R&D team. You will design, develop, and maintain electrical designs with special focus on 3 phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and power converters as assigned. You will join a dynamic and agile team, where we work passionately with product development and maintenance/sustaining end to end activities. ResponsibilitiesDo specifications, qualification, including laboratory preparation, testing, troubleshooting, reporting;Review and ensure the quality of electrical hardware design;Support or build engineering hardware prototypes (electrical design/parts);Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders and factories assembly engineers to optimize the design for manufacturing, cost, quality, and efficiency;Participate in design reviews, ensure Electrical hardware design with standard compliance, and write design specifications;Specify and qualify new or alternative electrical components (breakers, fuses, contactors, switches, overvoltage protective devices, power cables, Silicon controlled rectifiers (SCR));When assigned, evaluate field failure data, investigate to find root causes and provide effective solutions when related to electrical components;Specify and draw power cable and cable harness for UPS or power converters.Draw electrical main circuit diagrams;Propose and/or contribute to new and innovative ideas to rapidly evolving business development activities;Support, advice, train, coach other team members with regard to technical subject matters;Perform other related duties as assigned.Specifically, your daily life will be filled with:Participate in the entire product development process from design of prototypes to continuous product increments down to end of life.Work with dimensioning, datasheets, tests and standardizationSpecify UPS installations Cooperation with external parties, including customers so that we ensure that our solutions are approvedGather and prepare documentation to share your knowledge throughout our global organization so that everyone is up to date on standardization and installation requirements.All in all, you develop new, technically complex 3 phase UPS products in collaboration with global teams.Experience, education, and qualificationsMust have good and thorough experience in product development, and preferably also in Agile methodology.Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.You must have:Experience or interest in electrical design;Experience or interest in Labs hands-on and troubleshooting;Knowledge in electrical components (Power Cable, busbars, breakers, fuses, contactors, Surge protective devices, etc);Knowledge or interest in national electrical codes / standardsKnowledge of earthing systems and short circuit protectionDrawings, technical documentation and main circuit diagramsIf you also have experience in some of these areas, it will be an advantage:3 phase UPS Electrical design;Design for Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC);Power design studies – interconnects, system balancing, arc flash, harmonics3 phase UPS Standards or similar related standards (safety and performance);SEE Electrical - Software for drawing electrical diagrams; Let us learn about you! This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
