This role is responsible for requirements development, system architecture, integration, verification, and mission execution, ensuring all subsystems function cohesively to meet mission objectives within cost, schedule, and technical constraints.Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end systems engineering activities from concept development through mission operationsDevelop, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements with traceabilityConduct system-level trade studies and architecture developmentIntegrate multidisciplinary subsystems into cohesive system designSupport design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, FRR)Lead verification and validation (V&V) planning and executionSupport integration, test, and evaluation (I&T)Coordinate with program management on cost and schedule alignmentInterface with government customers and subcontractorsDevelop and deliver technical briefings and documentationBasic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred)8–12+ years of systems engineering experienceExperience across full systems engineering lifecycleFamiliarity with requirements tools (e.g., DOORS, MBSE)Understanding of aerospace/space system architecturesExperience supporting government programsActive Secret clearancePreferred QualificationsActive TS/SCI clearanceExperience with NRL, NAVSEA, DARPA, or similarMBSE and digital engineering experienceFlight hardware program experienceLeadership experience at task/team levelClearanceActive Secret required (TS/SCI preferred or eligible)Work EnvironmentOn-site/hybrid environment supporting government labs, integration facilities, and offices with occasional travel to test and launch sites.Basic Compensation:$135,600 - $186,400This range is for the Washington DC area only.The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation.
