Work Environment This is a fully remote role, allowing you to connect with clients across different locations while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Our outpatient office environment ensures that therapists have access to a supportive network of professionals and resources, encouraging collaboration and teamwork. We prioritize client accessibility and offer flexible scheduling options, operating from 7 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, to accommodate the varied needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to formulate individualized therapy strategies tailored to each client's unique needs. Deliver therapeutic interventions rooted in evidence-based practices to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, to address client issues effectively. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care that addresses the multifaceted needs of clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal standards. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of advancements in mental health research and practices. Patient Population / Client Focus Your clients will include individuals and families facing a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance misuse. This role demands a keen understanding of family dynamics and the ability to foster an environment of trust and respect, facilitating healing and growth for clients in varying life stages. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. A valid and active license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia. Minimum of two years of clinical experience in counseling. Demonstrated expertise in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-related issues, or substance use treatment is a plus. Knowledge of legal and ethical standards within the mental health field. Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with diverse client populations. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, contributing to shared treatment goals. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and related technologies. Preferred Experience Candidates with specialized training in evidence-based modalities or those who have participated in further education focused on family systems, trauma-informed care, or substance abuse counseling will be highly regarded. Experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with teletherapy platforms can also enhance your fit for this role.
