Controller

We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing organization based in the DC metro area. This is a high-visibility role for a hands‑on leader who can oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and team management while partnering closely with senior leadership. What You'll Do Own the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements Oversee GAAP-compliant financial reporting and ensure compliance with internal controls Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and professional development Partner with senior leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning Manage relationships with external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and efficiencies Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory requirements What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required Big 4 public accounting background required 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller or Assistant Controller-level experience Strong technical accounting knowledge (GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls) Proven ability to lead and develop a team Excellent communication and organizational skills Experience with [ERP system — e.g., NetSuite, Yardi, SAP] a plus #J-18808-Ljbffr SpectrumCareers
