# Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days/Nights only, 12-hour shifts with variable weekend coverage based on unit needs. Staffing ratios goal of 1:4, may flex to 1:5. Floating required to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units. 72-hour orientation provided.

Highlights:

• 36-bed Medical Oncology unit caring for patients with all solid tumor cancers throughout their entire cancer journey
• Patient population includes breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancer diagnoses
• Epic charting system with GE telemetry monitoring and Alaris pumps
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Oncology experience preferred but not required; strong Medical-Surgical background welcomed
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Requirements:

• Current Ohio RN license or active Compact license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (current and consistent within the last 12 months)
• BLS certification required; ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Competency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Skills in IV management, central line blood draws, port access/management, chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, isolation precautions, and tracheostomy care
• 2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal supervisor
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
