Financial Non-Profit Accountant at Save the Family Foundation

Responsible for implementing approved accounting practices and ensuring accurate financial reporting. Oversee payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and grant invoicing/billing functions, including cash receipts, general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, and grant management. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy AND/OR two years (2) of relevant experience in accounting including: Payroll processing Accounting systems management, highly proficient with (Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT experience preferred) Advanced Microsoft Office skills Daily management of the general ledger Month-end close procedures Grant management, billing and related reports Accounts payable and accounts receivable experience Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. Balance sheet reconciliations Effective internal controls Demonstrate cultural competence, treat everyone with dignity, celebrate the diversity of our community, and be inclusive of all people in our community. Demonstrated strong interpersonal communication skills, including conflict resolution Possess a valid Arizona driver’s license, clean driving record and personal vehicle insurance coverage 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
