Co-Medical Director Veterinarian

Location: Klamath Falls, Oregon

We are looking for a skilled veterinarian to join our team as a Co-Medical Director at our two collaborative animal hospitals in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This position will be alongside Dr. Carolyn Whitaker.

This role is ideal for veterinarians with over three years of clinical experience who are eager to advance their careers. As the Co-Medical Director, you will collaborate with Dr. Whitaker to oversee two companion animal hospitals located just six miles apart. Your responsibilities will include:

• Mentoring and developing veterinary staff
• Enhancing hospital culture and promoting employee retention
• Ensuring high standards of patient care and client service
• Identifying avenues for hospital growth and innovation
• Collaborating on medical protocols and best practices

Prior experience with exotic animals is appreciated but not mandatory.

• Full-time preferred

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary college, or equivalent certification for international graduates
• Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
• Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or the ability to obtain licensure before the start date
• A minimum of three years of clinical veterinary experience

• Experience with digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
• Background in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine
• Strong mentorship, communication, and leadership abilities
• Demonstrated adaptability, initiative, and team-building skills

Compensation ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is influenced by work location and various factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
