Outreach Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking an Outreach Coordinator for a contract opportunity with a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Redwood City, CA. This role is ideal for a bilingual English/Chinese professional who enjoys connecting with diverse communities, supporting program participation, and providing excellent customer service.

The Outreach Coordinator will help strengthen community engagement efforts through outreach, communication, interpretation, administrative support, and data tracking. Key Responsibilities

- Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to connect individuals with programs, services, and resources.
- Communicate with community members, partners, and internal teams in English and Chinese, including Mandarin and/or Cantonese.
- Provide verbal interpretation and translate routine program materials as needed.
- Support recruitment, enrollment, workforce development, or human services-related program activities.
- Maintain accurate records through data entry, tracking, reporting, and administrative support.
- Assist with online research, document preparation, presentations, and general program coordination.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Redwood City, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support community outreach, engagement, and program participation efforts.
- Provide bilingual English/Chinese communication, interpretation, and routine translation support.
- Maintain accurate program records, data entry, and administrative documentation.
- Assist with participant communication, partner coordination, and resource navigation.

- Bilingual English/Chinese required, with Mandarin and/or Cantonese language ability.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred for this level of role.
- Experience in community outreach, community engagement, workforce development, recruitment, human services, or a related field.
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with diverse communities.
- Strong customer service skills and professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with data entry and administrative support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Basic online research skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a nonprofit, community-based, public service, or charitable organization.
- Familiarity with local community resources, workforce programs, or human services programs.
- Experience supporting outreach events, workshops, enrollment activities, or community presentations.
