Medical Claims Call Center Representative

divh2Medical Claims Call Center Representative/h2pInsurance Administrative Solutions, L.L.C. (IAS), an Integrity company headquartered in Clearwater, Florida, is a third-party administrator providing business process outsourcing for insurance carriers. Formed in 2002, IAS administers policies for insureds residing all across the United States./ph3Job Summary:/h3pReceive, organize and make daily use of information regarding benefits, contract coverage, and policy decisions to provide prompt, courteous customer service, which meets or exceeds service standards. Interpret contract benefits in accordance with specific claims processing guidelines./ph3Primary Responsibilities:/h3ulliInterpret contract benefits accurately to policyholder, agents, and providers./liliProvide claim status to policyholders or providers./liliSend out refund request letters and follow-up as necessary./liliProduce correspondence to customers./liliAnswer calls as required by company policy in a helpful, professional, timely manner./liliPlace outgoing calls as needed to provide or obtain information./liliDocument (written/on-line) all calls while in progress./liliTransfer calls to employees in other departments as required to meet customer needs./liliFully document policy file or imaging system with all related material so as to leave a clear and concise audit trail./liliActively participate in cross training and group training sessions to maximize team efficiency and maintain or exceed service standards./liliCommunicate problems identified relevant to the claims processing system to the appropriate people./liliMaintain external contacts with policyholders, providers of service, agents, attorneys and other carriers as well as internal contacts with peers, management, and other support areas with a positive and professional approach./liliCommunicate openly with Supervisor, Team Lead and other team members to ensure accurate responses and avoid duplication of efforts./li/ulh3Primary Skills Requirements:/h3ulliA high school diploma or GED equivalent./liliInsurance background preferred/lili0-2 years of proven customer support experience; prior call center experience preferred/liliStrong phone contact handling skills and active listening/liliFamiliarity with Microsoft Office products/liliAbility to adapt and respond to different types of people and tasks/liliExcellent communication and documentation skills/liliAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively and efficiently/liliReliable transportation and the ability to be punctual and dependable/liliMay have agent license but no active appointments/li/ulh3Benefits Available/h3ulliWe value flexibility and recognize the importance of work?life balance.
