NUTRITION OPERATOR (PART TIME)

Job Summary Responsible for securing patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face‑to‑face interactions. Determine and satisfy patient preferences while maintaining dietetic and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Follow proper telephone etiquette when communicating with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. Offer menu alternatives within prescribed diet limits for allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences. Respond promptly to patients’ needs, resolving concerns or reporting to supervisor as needed. Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets. Collaborate with nursing staff to confirm accurate diet prescriptions and meet food needs. Adhere to confidentiality policies and HIPAA requirements. Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and facility procedures. Follow HACCP guidelines for assembling and distributing food supplies. Complete all daily, weekly or monthly reports in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines. Perform other duties as assigned.
