About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required, preference for 2 years in Med/Surg License: Michigan RN License required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Must be available for the first 2 weeks of assignment for orientation. Must be willing to work with a variety of staff. Must float to other Med/Surg units as needed. Weekends required every other weekend. Description: Offering up to 26 weeks of assignment. Preference for local candidates within 50 miles of the facility. Must be willing to work with a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs. Cannot guarantee block scheduling. Experience with a mix of medical patients is essential. Specialties include orthopedic, neurovascular, cardiovascular, pulmonary, surgical patients. Staffing ratio is 1:5-6 for night shifts. Ratios may flex to 7-8 patients, with RN paired with LPN for support. Floating typically occurs to other units once per week. All lab work is expected to be scheduled within 48-72 hours of signing. Must include proof of Flu vaccination with submission. References required must be supervisor level.
