Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies
Minimum 3+ years of experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery and ICU patient management
Unrestricted medical staff membership with appropriate practice privileges
Full prescriptive authority in accordance with medical staff privileging
No current or prior sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or the GSA List of Excluded Individuals and Entities


Description:
A skilled, motivated Physician Assistant with at least 3 years of cardiac or cardiovascular surgery experience is needed to join a cutting-edge surgical team focused on delivering extraordinary patient care.
You will provide expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients with a patient-first approach.
You will assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting using specialized systems and first assisting in surgical procedures.
You will manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patient care, including patient rounding and evaluation.
You will participate in 2 full-day clinics weekly and see additional patients as needed on other days.
You will rotate through operating room coverage Monday through Friday.
You will collaborate with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and healthcare professionals in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment.
You will order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
You will develop and implement detailed plans of care based on diagnostic outcomes.
You will order medications and write prescriptions per policy and regulations.
You will perform bedside procedures appropriate for the patient population.
You will ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
You will demonstrate expert clinical judgment and operate independently under physician supervision.
You will complete ongoing continuing medical education to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
You will work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic clinical setting with changing organizational climate.
You will show flexibility, problem-solving ability, teamwork, and a positive cultural fit.
Rotating weekend call schedule involved, with in-house NP managing call during the night.
