Canton Ford is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Manager who is ready to take ownership of our Parts Department and help drive the continued growth of our Fixed Operations team.

We're looking for more than someone who can order parts and manage inventory. We want a hands-on leader who understands the numbers, develops people, supports technicians, protects inventory, and knows how to run a profitable Parts Department.

What You'll Do

As Parts Manager, you'll take responsibility for the day-to-day performance, profitability, inventory, and people within our Parts Department.

You'll be expected to:

• Lead, train, coach, and develop Parts Department employees
• Establish clear expectations and hold the team accountable
• Manage retail, wholesale, internal, and warranty parts operations
• Ensure technicians receive the correct parts quickly and accurately
• Maintain strong communication between Parts and Service
• Manage inventory levels based on dealership demand and historical sales
• Monitor inventory aging, obsolescence, days' supply, and turn
• Improve stocking efficiency and parts availability
• Manage special-order parts and customer follow-up
• Monitor lost sales and use data to improve stocking decisions
• Manage cores, credits, returns, and manufacturer return programs
• Maintain accurate perpetual inventory records
• Conduct regular cycle counts and oversee physical inventories
• Maintain organized, accurate, and secure parts storage areas
• Establish and monitor appropriate pricing and gross profit strategies
• Grow retail and wholesale parts sales opportunities
• Review departmental financial performance and control expenses
• Support technician productivity and overall Service Department efficiency
• Maintain compliance with Ford policies, warranty requirements, and dealership procedures
• Work directly with the Service Manager and General Manager to achieve Fixed Operations objectives

Qualifications

• Automotive dealership Parts Department experience required
• Parts Manager or Assistant Parts Manager experience strongly preferred
• Ford dealership experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of dealership parts inventory management
• Knowledge of inventory turn, obsolescence, days' supply, fill rate, and stocking efficiency
• Understanding of parts gross profit and departmental financial performance
• Experience with OEM ordering and manufacturer return programs
• Strong leadership and employee-development skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong computer and dealership management system skills
• Ability to analyze KPIs and develop action plans
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work closely with technicians, Service Advisors, management, and other departments
• Professional, dependable, and accountable
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
