Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and collaborative Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric therapy team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children and families and will be committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech and language services under the supervision and direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. The SLPA will work within the Texas SLPA scope of practice and SPT clinical policies and procedures to implement individualized treatment plans, collect objective data, document services, communicate patient progress, and collaborate with supervising clinicians and families. Roles & Responsibilities Working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and within the Texas SLPA scope of practice, responsibilities include: Implement individualized speech-language treatment plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist Provide skilled speech-language therapy services within the SLPA scope of practice Facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate, and functional therapy activities Collect accurate, objective treatment data and communicate patient performance and progress to the supervising SLP Identify and communicate changes in patient performance, behavior, participation, or clinical needs to the supervising SLP Complete accurate, thorough, and timely daily documentation in accordance with clinic, payer, and regulatory requirements Provide appropriate caregiver education and carry over recommendations as directed by the supervising SLP Collaborate closely with supervising SLPs, occupational therapists, physical therapists, caregivers, educators, and other members of the interdisciplinary team Participate in clinical team meetings, case discussions, and interdisciplinary collaboration Maintain professional communication and therapeutic relationships with children and their families Maintain active Texas SLPA licensure and comply with applicable TDLR regulations, supervision requirements, and SPT policies and procedures Participate in ongoing professional development and opportunities to expand clinical knowledge and skills Participate in the development and refinement of clinic workflows related to SLPA supervision, documentation, communication, and implementation of the SLPA role Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and supportive clinic culture Qualifications Associate's degree or other educational preparation meeting requirements for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants in Texas Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license Ability to practice within the Texas SLPA scope of practice and supervision requirements Pediatric experience preferred; new graduates who demonstrate strong clinical potential and a passion for working with children are encouraged to apply Experience working with children with developmental delays, autism, speech/language disorders, or other developmental disabilities is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong organization, time management, and documentation skills Ability to collect and interpret objective treatment data under the direction of the supervising SLP Ability to receive feedback and incorporate supervisory recommendations into clinical practice Strong clinical professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail Passion for working with children and families Commitment to family-centered, collaborative, and evidence-based practice What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Flexible scheduling and manageable caseloads Supportive clinical supervision and mentorship from experienced SLPs Opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration with occupational and physical therapists Access to a fully equipped pediatric therapy environment and a variety of therapy materials and resources Opportunities for continuing education and professional development Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunities to participate in the development and refinement of SLPA clinical workflows and processes Meaningful opportunities to make a lasting impact in the lives of children and families Our Ideal SLPA Child-centered and genuinely enjoys working with children Collaborative and values the expertise of other disciplines Growth-oriented and receptive to mentorship and feedback Reliable and organized with strong follow-through Data-driven and attentive to objective measurement of progress Creative and engaging in their approach to therapy Family-centered and able to build positive relationships with caregivers Committed to clinical excellence and ongoing professional development Apply Today If you’re looking for an opportunity to grow as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant while working alongside a collaborative pediatric therapy team, we’d love to hear from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr Synaptic Pediatric Therapies, LLC.
