Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal Real Estate & Civil Litigation to support attorneys with case management, legal document preparation, real estate transactions, and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining case files, coordinating deadlines, conducting legal research, and ensuring the efficient handling of legal and administrative processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, contracts, and other case-related materials.
- Assist attorneys with real estate transactions, title reviews, closing documentation, and related filings.
- Support civil litigation matters by managing discovery, organizing evidence, and maintaining litigation files.
- Create, organize, and maintain physical and electronic case files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Track critical deadlines, court dates, and transaction milestones, providing timely reminders to attorneys.
- Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and preparation.
- Coordinate the collection, filing, and distribution of legal documents with courts, clients, and third parties.
- Handle administrative duties, including mail processing, document deliveries, and filing tasks as needed.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and external stakeholders regarding case and transaction matters.
- Perform additional duties and provide administrative and legal support as assigned by senior legal staff.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Secretary, preferably in Real Estate and/or Civil Litigation.
- Bachelors degree or Paralegal Certificate required.
- Knowledge of real estate transactions, litigation procedures, court filings, and legal documentation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain strict confidentiality in a fast-paced legal environment.
