Payroll & HR Operations Manager - Multi-State U.S. Payroll | JFK, NY

A large international cross-boder eCommerce logistics company is seeking an experienced Payroll & HR Operations Manager to oversee multi-state U.S. payroll, HR operations, reporting, and benefits administration. This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing payroll and HR processes. Billingual (English/Mandarin) preferred. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end multi-state U.S. payroll operations. Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Prepare HR and payroll reports, reconciliations, and data analysis. Administer 401(k) and employee benefits. Support onboarding, off-boarding, HR operations, and compliance. Partner with HR, Finance, payroll providers, and other stakeholders to improve processes. Requirements: 5+ years of payroll and HR operations experience (7+ preferred). Strong experience managing multi-state U.S. payroll. Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (TriNet, Paychex, or similar preferred). Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS). Experience with 401(k) administration and employee benefits preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience in logistics or transportation is a plus.
