We're looking for a detail-driven Accounts Payable Specialist to join a Portland-based finance team in a flexible hybrid role. If you enjoy keeping things organized, love working with numbers, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you!LOCATION: Portland, ORSALARY: $33.10/hr.SCHEDULE: Full-time, 8am-5pm | Hybrid, 3 days/wk. in office, 2 day remote*Union dues every 4 weeks of $86.06WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS ROLEWork a hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week, offering flexibility and team connectionWork in a dynamic finance environment that values accuracy, collaboration, and problem-solvingEnjoy a balance of independent tasks and cross-functional collaboration with purchasing, receiving, and vendorsPlay an important role in month-end close processes and gain insight into the broader accounting cycleTake ownership of vendor communications, issue resolution, and month-end close processesBe part of a team that values professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvementKEY RESPONSIBILITIESVerify account distributions, approvals, and disbursement authorizationsReview, process, and enter invoices using matching procedures, resolving discrepanciesCommunicate with internal teams and vendors to address invoice and PO issuesMaintain and update vendor master data, including tax and banking informationAssist with month-end accruals, close activities, and support multiple entitiesEnsure accuracy and timeliness of AP transactions while providing backup support as neededWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR1–2 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferredSolid understanding of AP processes and fundamental accounting principlesExperience using SAP or comparable ERP systemsProficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with digital document managementExcellent attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced settingStrong communication skills and professional interpersonal abilities, with effective time management and prioritizationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPhysical requirements for this office role include the ability to sit for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks such as typing and data entry, and occasionally lift or move light objects (up to 20 lbs).READY TO TAKE THE NEXT STEP?This position is offered through NW Staffing Resources.
