This well-established hospital is a major regional medical center serving western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, featuring 203 total beds and a Level 3 trauma designation. The facility provides a full spectrum of inpatient services with strong departmental support, making it an excellent environment for locum tenens providers.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Cardiology

Job Details:

• General Cardiologist needed for inpatient hospitalist coverage with day shifts only
• Schedule is 7 days on / 7 days off, with 2 locums providers offsetting each other
• Positions available starting as soon as credentialed, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
• 30-40 patient encounters per shift with approximately 20+ calls while on call
• Must be board certified in Cardiology with active Arkansas licensure required
• ACLS certification required
• Inpatient and outpatient cardiology experience preferred, including ICU coverage
• Non-invasive cardiology skills preferred, including echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and STEMI management
• Invasive diagnostic cardiology skills preferred, including PA catheter placement, IABP placement, cardiac catheterization, and heart biopsy
• Interventional cardiology skills preferred, including PTCA, intracoronary stent placement, and atherectomy
• Electrophysiology skills preferred, including cardiac ablation, permanent pacemaker placement, and AICD/ICD implantation

Compensation:
