Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Authorization in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment for employees and guests. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to access control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access issues, unusual activity, and incidents requiring follow-up.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
