Schedule:

• Ability to report within 30 minutes to on-call shifts required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and meticulously review physicians’ orders before initiating x-ray procedures.
• Operate radiographic equipment to acquire high-quality images of bones, tissues, and organs per provider’s instructions.
• Clearly explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and answering questions.
• Effectively position patients—including those with limited mobility—for optimal imaging results.
• Safely handle all radiologic equipment, prioritizing patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure.
• Appropriately monitor patients and adjust care to meet age-specific needs.
• Ensure prompt communication with management regarding equipment concerns.
• Maintain meticulous, accurate imaging records and documentation within electronic patient information systems.
• Consistently follow the dual patient identifier procedure.
• Confirm all images are properly labeled and transmitted to the PACS system.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology; active ARRT certification.
• Eligible for or holds a current NYS license.
• Minimum two years of X-ray Technologist experience, with recent OR (operating room) and trauma center exposure.
• BLS certification.
• Proficiency operating c-arm/o-arm within the last eight months.
• Physical ability to move or lift patients and stand for long shifts.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork capabilities.
• Compassionate and patient-focused, with a collaborative mindset.
