Registered Nurse, Burnet ED - Full-time, PM Shift (Experienced RN)

Job Responsibilities Sustain and apply a working understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements, supporting leadership in compliance across the department and hospital. Monitor safety and departmental policies, ensuring the timely completion of individual certifications and safety college requirements. Collaborate with department managers, nurse councils, magnet representatives, and the interprofessional team to identify and share safety best practices and communicate concerns to leadership. Use systems thinking to coordinate patient and family care within the unit, acting as a key resource to support families. Collect clinical data, follow protocols, and document the plan of care, delivery, and outcomes, anticipating future needs and maintaining a safe environment. Apply age‑specific concepts and developmental considerations, partnering with patients and families to develop care goals and facilitate learning using teach‑back. Engage in continuous learning by reviewing clinical performance, following standards, and contributing to research‑based practice improvements. Participate in shared governance and decision‑making, providing feedback and implementing council decisions. Respect ethical and cultural diversity by advocating for patients, making moral decisions, and integrating culturally inclusive care. Qualifications Associate or Diploma RN from an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN/CNEA accredited institution with at least 2 years of experience. If hired without a BSN or MSN, must enroll in a BSN or MSN program within one year of hire and complete the program within five years. Preferred: BSN or MSN from an ACEN, CCNE, or NLN/CNEA accredited institution. Active Ohio RN license; additional state licensure may be required. Foreign graduates must have license validated through TruMerit per Ohio Board of Nursing code for Foreign Graduates.
