This assignment lasts 13.14 WEEKS and is scheduled to start on July 6, 2026. Job Details Shift: 12H Nights Total Weekly Hours: 36 Certifications: BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes: Required Experience Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years required, 3 years preferred Experience with >300 births per month Unit accepts 1st Time Travelers with experience in a large/high volume similar setting Strongly prefer RN with circulate to OR experience Skills Circulate Sterile vaginal exam Competent in immediate newborn care Skills in C-section circulation, high-risk antepartum, infant/neonatal arrest, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, LDRP, OCT (Oxytocin Challenge Tests), pain assessment & management, triage of obstetrical patients Certifications BCLS AWHONN Intermediate NRP AWHONN Advanced (will accept C-EFM in lieu of AWHONN) Licensure NC or Compact license (pending OK for submittal) Charting System Experience Experience with Epic required Additional Requirements Must have experience and be comfortable on a fast-paced, difficult unit with average monthly births of 400-600 and a daily census of 40 visits and 30-40 admits Open to floating within the women's unit (SMC-high risk OB) Additional Notes COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required Flu Vaccine: Required, with medical/religious exemptions only All testing must be completed within 48 hours of signing Candidate must go into the lab within 48 hours after signing Submission details include adherence to specific guidelines, including waiting periods for former Novant/New Hanover employees, submission of disclosure for previous employment, and eligibility based on local residency.
