Power BI/ Tableau Middle Business Intelligence Analyst

Role Description

• You’re the Middle Analyst, so customers will come to you for SQL, Tableau, Power BI tips—and that’s perfectly normal.
• Master the art of data extraction:
  • Sometimes from SQL databases,
  • Sometimes from dusty Excel files,
  • Sometimes from mild chaos (accept it as a given).
• Build reports, dashboards, and other visualizations:
  • So that executives no longer tremble at the sight of graphs, but instead experience mild delight at their simplicity and clarity.
• Communicate with team:
  • To explain why things might be going wrong, and then in whichever other language you prefer, how to fix them.
• Automate routine tasks:
  • Because your valuable time shouldn’t be spent doing endless, repetitive grunt work.

Qualifications

• Experience with BI tools: Power BI or Tableau
• Strong SQL proficiency (subselects, joins, the whole shebang).
• Basic English Conversational: comfortable enough to discuss numbers and visualizations via Zoom with team (and maybe argue about the virtues of classic Earl Grey over green tea).
