Clinical Nurse Coordinator Pulmonary

Mission Health – Clinical Nurse Coordinator Pulmonary Mission Health, a comprehensive healthcare provider based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator Pulmonary to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will serve as a clinical leader and primary resource for patients with pulmonary and respiratory conditions, coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care across the continuum. Key Responsibilities Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and the broader interdisciplinary team to assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and ensure safe, evidence-based treatment in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Triage and prioritize patient care needs, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor complex respiratory status, and provide patient and family education on disease management, medications, oxygen therapy, and lifestyle modifications. Coordinate discharges and transitions of care, arrange necessary referrals and follow-up appointments, and ensure timely documentation in the electronic health record. Mentor and support nursing staff, participate in onboarding and ongoing education, reinforce clinical standards and protocols, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives focused on pulmonary outcomes, patient safety, and patient satisfaction. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, contribute to performance metrics such as readmission reduction and length of stay, and help align daily practice with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Qualifications The ideal candidate is a compassionate, detail-oriented Registered Nurse with experience in pulmonary, respiratory, or critical care, who is committed to delivering exceptional, evidence‑based care and supporting patients and families through complex pulmonary health challenges. The position requires strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
