Stonefield is hiring a Project Manager for the Traffic Engineering Team. The role involves teaching and training designers, preparing traffic impact and parking studies, conducting intersection capacity analyses, designing traffic signals and roadway improvement plans, developing maintenance and traffic control drawings, creating signal timing directives, and submitting comprehensive applications to jurisdictional bodies. The position also includes project management responsibilities, zoning and land development permitting, field inspection, and preparing project reports. The incumbent may present before municipal, county, and state bodies. Key Responsibilities Teach and train entry‑to‑mid level designers and analysts. Prepare traffic impact and parking studies, intersection capacity analyses, roadway improvement plans, maintenance and traffic control drawings. Create traffic signal timing directives and develop submission applications for jurisdictional bodies. Manage projects, handle zoning and land development permitting, conduct field inspections, and develop project reports. Present before technical and lay bodies at municipal, county, and state meetings. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed PE. Minimum of 4 years of traffic engineering experience; preference for private entitlement, zoning, and site‑plan permitting experience. Proficiency in Highway Capacity Software and Synchro/SimTraffic. Ability to work effectively on a team. Strong communication and organizational skills. Self‑motivated. Familiarity with NJDOT, NYSDOT, and PennDOT design and permitting.
