Job Description

Performs any combination of tasks involved in the manufacture and assembly of medical devices.

Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)

• Responsible for following safety policies and procedures.

• Responsible for following all required GMP’s and applicable manufacturing procedures.

• Perform a variety of duties to assemble all types and sizes of product, components, and subassemblies using a variety of standard and specialty assembly machines or hand operations.

• May be required to press, bond, solder, flare, strip, clamp, sand, weld, mount/takedown or inspect for appearance, gauging of parts by “no-go” or “go” gauges and set fixtures.

• After initial training, shows the ability to consistently meet daily production goals while building a high-quality product, part or subassembly to specification.

• Set up, operates, perform minor maintenance and minor troubleshooting on equipment.

• Follow department procedures on material replenishment.

• Assists in training of manufacturing personnel.

• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance team performance.

• Must be able to work flexible hours and report to work on a regular, punctual basis.

• Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/ or Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or Minimum of one (1) year manufacturing or production related experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Successfully demonstrate mechanical aptitude either through testing and/or job related experience, technical training or certification.

• Ability to read, write, interpret, comprehend and consistently follow specifications.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations and use measuring devices and tools.

• Shows the ability to consistently meet daily production goals.

• Ability to successfully demonstrate visual accuracy through company-approved program.

• Meets or exceeds dexterity requirements.

• Ability to agree with people and to be able to work in a team environment.

• Must exhibit willingness to work on a team and promote collaboration among all employees.

• Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours.

• Willingness to rotate into different tasks and responsibilities.

• Ability to obtain department/Job certifications.

Physical Demands: (if applicable)

• Ability to have prolonged interaction with chemical usage and mixes.

• Ability to work under magnification for long periods of time as required.

• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Able to lift 35 lbs. (over 35 lbs. with assistance).

• Repetitive use of hands and fingers, feel, reach with hands and arms and/or perform repetitive

• hand/wrist movement.

• Ability to pass department respirator programs and use of respirator.

• Must be able to achieve technical skills and proficiency on safe operation of department machines and equipment.

Work Environment: (if applicable)

May require some exposure to chemicals used in manufacturing processes. Some minor physical inconvenience or discomfort occasionally present in the work situation (moderate noise, disagreeable odors, etc.). Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided

The salary or hourly rate offered is determined by the role's specific requirements, including any applicable step rate pay system at the work location. Salary or hourly pay ranges are influenced by labor laws and Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) requirements applicable to the work location which may also affect the workplace arrangement of the role.

Salary Range Information

$16.90 - $27.10 USD Hourly
