This includes, but is not limited to the following:Architect, Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality medical device embedded software solutions as part of the software team in accordance with Agile principles and Scrum methodologiesDefine and uphold architectural standards, design patterns, and best practicesMake high-impact technical decisions that align with long-term platform and business strategyReview and guide system designs, APIs, data models, and integration approachesOptimize system performance, reliability, and scalabilityEnsure solutions meet security, privacy, and compliance requirementsLead Risk Assessment activities and Requirements development.Cross-functional team collaboration with HW and Systems partners, including integration team, testing team, Quality, System V&V…etc.Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and lessons learnedProvide leadership in solving engineering problems and fostering creativity and innovation in design and problem solutionsFollow Medical device regulations (IEC 62304, IEC 82304, FDA…etc.)Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development, and make recommendations for process improvementsThe successful candidate will have:10+ years of technical leadership experienceExperience developing medical device softwareStrong expertise in programming languages (C++, Python, C#)Experience with various operating systems and tools - Linux OS, PetaLinux, Yocto, FreeRTOSExperience with ContainersStrong knowledge of secure SDLC practices and software risk managementQualifications –Must Have - Minimum RequirementsTo be considered for this role, please be sure the minimum requirements are evident on your resumeBachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline and minimum of 10 years of work experience OR advanced degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline with 8 years of work experience.Nice to HaveKnowledge of microservices architecture and event-driven systemsFamiliarity with FPGAExperience in regulated or enterprise-scale environmentsKnowledge of cloud and connected medical devicesExcellent collaboration skills across engineering, quality, and regulatory teamsPragmatic decision-making that balances compliance, security, and delivery velocityClear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersTogether, we can change healthcare worldwide.
