Financial Analyst

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Pittsburgh, is hiring a Financial Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for its operations division. This role works closely with the accounting and operations teams to track spending, identify variances, and provide recommendations that inform business decisions.

The ideal candidate has a solid grounding in financial modeling and reporting, is comfortable working with large datasets, and can translate financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders. This is an on-site position based at the company's Pittsburgh headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting
• Analyze budget variances and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Partner with operations leaders on capital expenditure planning
• Track key performance indicators and prepare management dashboards
• Assist with annual budget preparation and mid-year revisions
• Support internal and external audit requests
• Recommend process improvements for financial reporting workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 3 or more years of experience in financial analysis
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
• Attention to detail and accuracy under deadline pressure
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
