Step into a meaningful contract role as an Autism Support Interventionist, making a daily impact in educational settings near Allentown, PA. This opportunity spans both Carbon and Lehigh County classrooms, where you'll partner closely with educators, therapists, and behavioral specialists to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Assignments follow the school calendar, starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 11, 2027.

In this position, you’ll be a vital part of a highly structured, behavior-focused environment, utilizing hands-on teaching and intervention strategies. Your calm, steady presence will guide students through academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one and small group support tailored to students with ASD.
• Implement individualized Behavior Intervention Plans alongside classroom staff.
• Apply evidence-based strategies including visual schedules, PECS, AAC devices, and social stories.
• Assist in classroom routines, transitions, and social skill development.
• Track student progress by collecting academic and behavioral data for IEPs.
• Support personal care needs as necessary, such as toileting, hygiene, and feeding.
• Actively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, ABA, Human Services, or related field preferred (Associate’s degree with relevant experience considered).
• At least one year of experience supporting children or adolescents with autism, behavioral needs, or psychiatric/educational challenges.
• Familiarity with ABA practices, crisis intervention, or special education settings.
• Resilient, compassionate, and comfortable managing challenging behaviors within structured environments.
• Able to participate in in-person interviews.
