Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Technician to support multiple banking locations throughout the Ann Arbor, MI area. This 4-month contract role is ideal for a self-motivated maintenance professional who enjoys working independently, interacting with clients, and troubleshooting a variety of building maintenance issues. A company vehicle, tools, cell phone, and tablet will be provided, allowing the technician to travel between assigned sites while delivering high-quality maintenance support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their commercial facilities maintenance experience in a customer-facing environment. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM with the potential for overtime.


Typical Day in the Role

• Travel between assigned client locations to complete daily maintenance work orders.
• Perform general building maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
• Complete light plumbing repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Perform painting, patching, and general carpentry repairs.
• Troubleshoot basic HVAC issues and replace HVAC filters.
• Inspect and maintain fire extinguishers and other life safety equipment.
• Review assigned work orders and estimate materials and time needed to complete repairs.
• Support energy efficiency by ensuring building systems are operating properly.
• Document completed work using a company-issued cell phone and tablet.
• Communicate professionally with clients and the Facilities Manager regarding maintenance updates and service requests.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company vehicle.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school education preferred.
• 1-3 years of commercial or industrial building maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience performing general building maintenance and repairs.
• Basic plumbing repair experience.
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with painting, patching, and general carpentry.
• Basic HVAC troubleshooting knowledge.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing a mobile service route.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• EPA Certification.
• Advanced HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Advanced plumbing experience.
• Experience supporting multiple facilities or route-based maintenance.
• Commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Trade school education in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or a related field.
