We actively partner across a variety of city, county, state, and community organizations to deliver training and support, a wide range of services, as well as influence policy.The Clinical Supervisor will work under the supervision of the Director of Health and Wellness, and will be responsible for the daily oversight of assigned mental health clinicians, interns, and a community health worker, with a specific focus on supporting bilingual Latine interns and professionals pursuing clinical licensure. This role integrates clinical training leadership, ensuring the delivery of culturally specific and high-quality mental health care to our clients through a community-centered lens. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for adherence to all applicable licensing, supervision, billing, documentation requirements and overseeing the timeliness and quality of staff members' clinical work.This position is based out of the Zenit Centro de Serenidad office, located in downtown Portland, at 510 SW 3rd Ave suite 200, Portland, OR 97204.Primary duties and responsibilities include:Lead the recruitment, selection, orientation, and supervision of assigned mental health trainees and clinicians, fostering their professional growth and licensure advancement.Facilitate training sessions and workshops for interns and staff working towards licensure, focusing on culturally specific practices, clinical skills, professional ethics, de-escalation techniques, suicide and crisis management strategies, and evidence-based practices to ensure program effectiveness and sustainability.Conduct regular supervision meetings, group supervision or case-conferences as required and performance evaluations of mental health trainees and clinicians, providing support and training where needed to assist staff in meeting billable hours requirements, charting, caseload, record keeping and documentation standards, and all other quality assurance standards.Monitor caseloads and ensure that supervisees and clinicians comply with all state, federal, and organizational clinical, legal, and ethical standards, emphasizing clinical documentation accuracy, transparency and timely reporting. Review and co-sign supervisees' progress notes, clinical forms and correspondence when indicated.Co-sign unlicensed clinicians' progress notes, clinical forms, and correspondence as a legal representative of Latino Network's Mental Health Program.Support clinicians through crisis response situationsCommunicate any concerns about the quality of staff's work to the Program Director in a timely manner.Provide guidance, support and learning opportunities toward the goal of effective performance through modeling, coaching, mentoring, recognition/praise, and corrective action as appropriate and in a timely manner through weekly one-on-one meetings.Participate in the evaluation and improvement of clinical programs, using client feedback and data to enhance service delivery and outcomes, in collaboration with the Directors of Evaluation and Health & Wellness.Advocate for and integrate cultural, social, and economic factors affecting mental health within all aspects of supervision and service delivery.Stay informed about current trends and research in culturally specific mental health care.Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to mental health services within the organization.Respectfully follow supervisor direction and complete other assigned duties.Skills, knowledge, education and experience required:Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, with an active, unrestricted license in Oregon as a: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist (with the appropriate credentials) and have completed two years equivalent of post-graduate clinical experience in a mental health treatment setting.Two years' experience with program development and managementExperience training and mentoring staff, interns, or peers in clinical practices, including developing training materials, facilitating workshops, and providing ongoing support.Prior experience supervising or mentoring interns, trainees, or other mental health professionals, including providing clinical oversight.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.Skilled in suicide and other risk assessments and interventions, effectively managing crises and providing immediate support, creating and monitoring safety plans, completion of bio-psycho-social assessments and additional assessments, updating assessments when clinical circumstances change, generating a differential DSM diagnosis, prioritizing health, wellness and recovery needs, writing measurable service objectives, creating, monitoring and revising service plans, delivery of mental health and recovery treatment services in individual, group and family formats within their scope, gathering and recording data that measures progress toward the service objectives and documenting services, supports and other information supportive of the service plan.Experience in evaluating mental health programs and leveraging data and feedback for ongoing service improvement.Proficient in ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing mental health practice in Oregon.Proficient in electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.Proven experience facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing among diverse teams and community stakeholders.In-depth knowledge of community health, mental health, educational resources, social services, and government agencies.Strong understanding of how social determinants of health impact mental well-being.Deep understanding of cultural dynamics and the application of culturally relevant mental health approaches, especially within the Latinx community.Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with community organizations, public health authorities, schools, universities, families, and support systems.Demonstrated capacity to work independently and as part of a team, whether in a leadership or collaborative role.Experience advocating for mental health resources and policy changes to benefit underserved populations.Flexibility and adaptability to meet job functions and responsibilities effectively.Commitment to ongoing professional development through workshops, conferences, and training related to mental health and supervision.Physical demands and work environment:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties of this job.
