Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring Epic proficiency and adult home health experience, with day shift scheduling and every 5th weekend required.

Details

• Home health setting providing care to adult patients in their place of residence
• Day shift schedule, 8:00–16:30 (5x8-hour shifts)
• Every 5th weekend required
• No floating required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency required in PICC lines, port access, tracheostomy care, Pleurx drainage systems, and patient education

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required (compact licenses not accepted in Michigan)
• Current BLS certification required; AHA certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year of adult home health nursing experience required
• Familiarity with Medicare guidelines related to home care required
• Proficiency with OASIS documentation required
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include skilled nursing care, IV and line management, tracheostomy care, Pleurx drainage, and comprehensive patient and caregiver education
• Completion of pre-start online modules required prior to first day
• Former core staff or employees must wait 12 months before returning; eligibility should be confirmed prior to applying
• Maximum of 5 days of RTO permitted per assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
