Job Summary:
Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Salem, Massachusetts. This role involves providing patient care within a 65-bed pod-based emergency department that includes separate pediatric and mental health areas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment. The position encompasses night and every-other-week shifts, totaling 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Salem, Massachusetts
• Specialty: Emergency Room
• Schedule: Rotating shifts (12 hours each), nights and every-other-weekend, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid professional license, at least 2 years of emergency nursing experience, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (AHA). NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certifications are strongly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: NRP and TNCC certifications highly desired.
• Additional Information: The emergency department website features assessment, documentation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education as core skills. The typical patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:4 with an average of 230 visits per day, and the electronic medical record system used is EPIC ASAP. Float rotation may be required.
