About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Must be willing to float to 8 different units Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, and reading tele strips Description: This position is for a Float Pool RN. The RN must be willing to float between various units throughout the facility. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and managing cardiac drips. The RN will be responsible for reading telemetry strips regularly. Experience as a traveler is preferred. The clinician to patient ratio is 5:1 during days and evenings, and up to 6:1 at night. Patient population includes care for emergency department border patients and non-vented patients in need of transfer readiness from the ICU. Bed count for the facility is 371. Units range in census from 8 to 41 beds. Rotation between day, evening, and night shifts may occur during the contract. The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.
