Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist working on-site at one of several school locations in the Jacksonville area. This contract opportunity supports a PreK-12 caseload and allows you to work collaboratively within a school environment to support a diverse range of communication needs.
Your role will focus on evaluating and treating students with mild to moderate speech, language, and communication disorders, empowering them to reach their full academic and social potential. You'll have the chance to specialize based on your assigned campus—either a general education setting or working with more specialized populations in center schools.
Requirements:
- Current Speech Language Pathologist-CCC credentials
- Active Florida Department of Health SLP Licensure (required)
- 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the academic school year (August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027)
- Must complete required Florida fingerprinting and JLA badge clearance processes
- Previous experience in a school setting is a strong plus
- Strong collaboration and communication skills essential
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students (varies by location), PreK–12
- Conduct evaluations and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct therapy services and participate in IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Consult with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
