Key Responsibilities

• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services in accordance with the physician-authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice
• Deliver direct patient care including nursing assessments, medication administration, treatments, call lights, patient transfers, and response to alarms
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and patient conditions, collaborating with the care team to update and revise plans using current clinical information
• Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and in a timely manner
• Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications as needed
• Apply basic knowledge of cancer pathophysiology to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for medical oncology, step-down, and general medical overflow patients

Required Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (verified Active via LARA and/or Nursys)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Oncology nursing experience
• Comfort and experience caring for step-down patients
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
• Active American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing work history
• Experience with Epic EMR
