In this role, you'll work hands-on across the full product lifecycle—bringing innovative concepts to life and seeing your designs move from prototype to production.You'll partner closely with electrical, optical, systems, and manufacturing engineers to create highly sophisticated, real-world products used in impactful applications.What You'll DoOwn and contribute to product development from concept through production:Create detailed 3D CAD designs using SolidWorksDefine mechanical architecture, build flows, and fixturing conceptsConduct trade studies and design iterations to optimize performancePerform finite element analysis (structural & thermal)Complete tolerance analysis and support design validationBuild and test rapid prototypesCollaborate cross-functionally:Work closely with Electrical, Optical, Systems, and Manufacturing teamsInterface with suppliers and production teams to ensure smooth buildsDrive quality and continuous improvement:Perform testing, failure analysis, and design refinementsSupport production with yield improvements and process efficienciesDeliver clear, high-quality documentation:Create drawings with GD&T, BOMs, and configuration management recordsDevelop technical documentation such as test plans, user guides, and specificationsWhat You BringBS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or relevant work experienceStrong experience with SolidWorks (PDM experience a plus)Hands-on experience with hardware assembly and testingKnowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principlesExperience working with production teams and supporting buildsNice to HaveSimulation experience (thermal, fluid, structural analysis)Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, or injection molding designExperience with optics or automated mechanical systemsFamiliarity with GD&T and 2D drawing standardsWhat Sets You ApartStrong problem-solving and analytical mindsetAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsProactive, high-energy approach to tackling challengesAdditional InfoOccasional travel (~5%) to customer sites or test rangesWhy Join Us?You'll be part of a team building advanced technology that matters—while gaining exposure to cutting-edge engineering disciplines and seeing your work directly impact real-world products.Salary Range:$113,600.00-$151,400.000The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
