Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Step into a day on our quality teamAt 5:45am in Mooresville, NC, you power up gauges and test rigs, run a first-article check, and set the tone for a smooth, high-quality production day. Throughout the shift, you rotate between in-process checkpoints and final inspections, capture data in the quality system, and partner with operators and engineers to resolve issues fast. By 2:00pm, your reports are in, your audit notes are tidy, and the line is ready for the next build.What you’ll doVerify conformity of in-process and finished goods to drawings, work instructions, and quality standardsLead first-piece/first-article verifications to confirm setup accuracy before full runExecute visual, mechanical, and functional testing using appropriate gauges, fixtures, and instrumentsDocument results with precision and maintain statistical recordsEnter findings into the quality management system and help produce trend and performance reportsSummarize observations, flag deviations, and prepare clear documentation packagesHelp draft, refine, and update inspection procedures, protocols, and checklistsAnalyze trends to pinpoint root causes; collaborate cross-functionally to deploy corrective actionsChampion continuous improvement to strengthen yield, reliability, and efficiencyPerform internal audits to confirm process adherence and procedural complianceUphold regulatory, company, and safety requirements; escalate issues with detailed evidence when neededComplete all quality records with consistent, high attention to detailFollow safety, environmental, and quality policies at all timesKeep your area organized and audit-ready using 5S principlesTake on additional assignments as neededWhat you bring2–5 years in a comparable quality/inspection roleComfort working independently with minimal supervisionSkill in tackling complex problems and nonconformancesBroad, practical knowledge of quality tools, inspection methods, and documentationPhysical demandsExtended standing during inspectionsFrequent bending and stoopingFine motor dexterity for handling small parts and gaugesAbility to work in a noisy production environmentCompensation & schedulePay Range: $19.00–$22.00 per hour (commensurate with skills and experience)Work Location: Onsite — Mooresville, North Carolina 28115Shift: 1st shift, 5:45am–2:00pmJob DetailsPosition Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt (Hourly) #J-18808-Ljbffr
