In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cardiac stepdown team ensuring high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care is delivered to patients transitioning from intensive cardiac care. Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Cardiac Stepdown unit, overseeing recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Supervise patient care activities, ensuring compassionate, patient-centered, and high-quality care. Oversee daily operations, including resource allocation, equipment maintenance, and inventory management for the Cardiac Stepdown unit. Ensure adherence to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards related to cardiac care. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize cardiac services.

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas. A minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in cardiac care, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Cardiac Nursing (CCRN) is preferred.
