Client Service Advisor – Personal Lines

ShieldCo Insurance, a family-owned independent agency, is looking for a Client Service Advisor to join our Personal Lines team. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted point of contact for existing clients, guiding them through policy changes, renewals, coverage questions, and claims intake with warmth and professionalism.

Job Summary

As a Client Service Advisor, you will support our existing auto, home, and umbrella policyholders by managing day-to-day service needs within our agency management systems. This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives on providing honest, service-first support and is comfortable working on a computer throughout the day. This position offers a starting hourly rate of $18–$22, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to client inquiries regarding auto, home, and umbrella policy coverage, changes, and renewals
• Process policy change requests accurately and in a timely manner using agency management systems
• Guide clients through the initial steps of claims intake, ensuring accurate documentation and clear communication
• Review upcoming renewals to identify coverage gaps or opportunities for policy updates
• Maintain detailed, accurate client records and documentation within agency systems
• Collaborate with agents and team members to resolve client concerns efficiently
• Explain coverage options and policy details in a clear, client-friendly manner
• Follow up with clients to confirm resolution of requests and ensure satisfaction

Required Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Comfort and proficiency working on a computer for extended periods
• Reliable, dependable work ethic with a genuine desire to help clients
• Ability to work full-time
• Prior customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license
• Prior experience in personal lines insurance service or a related administrative role
• Familiarity with agency management systems
• Experience handling renewals, policy changes, or claims intake

Candidates without a current P&C license are encouraged to apply—training will be provided for the right person.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with agency management or CRM software (or ability to learn quickly)
• Strong data entry accuracy and typing skills
• Comfort navigating multiple software systems and screens simultaneously
• Basic proficiency with email, calendar, and office productivity tools
