Cancer Service Lines Manager

Day - 08 Hour (United States of America) Approximately 50% onsite. A Brief Overview The Cancer Service Lines Manager will oversee the planning and monitoring of execution of programs and services that enhance patient care and optimize resource utilization across the cancer service line. This role leverages data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making and drive initiatives that improve operational efficiency, expand patient access, and improve patient outcomes. The Manager will also provide guidance on fiscal, capacity, and operational planning issues, ensuring that assigned programs meet institutional goals and regulatory standards. The Manager will work closely with the market development office to identify opportunities for partnerships and affiliations that support the growth and expansion of cancer programs. This position will represent assigned programs at various levels, promoting initiatives and collaborating with external stakeholders to enhance the visibility and impact of Stanford Health Care's cancer services. What you will do Lead the development and execution of the strategic plans for cancer service lines and programs, including a portfolio of high-impact initiatives (growth planning, network integration, access optimization, clinical pathway development, value-based care programs) across Stanford Health Care network. Drive change management for major program launches and transformations (readiness assessment, stakeholder engagement, implementation planning, adoption tracking, and sustainment) Oversee the governance and delivery of cross-functional initiatives, including charter development, milestones, risk management, and performance dashboards; ensure timely escalation and remediation of barriers. Lead multi-site program execution, ensuring consistency, scalability, and standardization of processes, clinical pathways, and patient experience enhancements. Build and manage external partnerships and affiliations (in partnership with Market Development Office, Stanford Medicine departments, and research leadership) to advance program growth, research alignment, and translational opportunities. Provide strategic budget oversight for assigned programs, including annual planning, forecasting, capital planning, ROI analyses, and financial stewardship; monitor variances and implement corrective actions. Use data analytics and performance metrics to inform decision-making; develop and maintain advanced dashboards; lead continuous improvement and value-based care initiatives to improve patient outcomes and reduce variation. Represent assigned programs in governance forums; communicate strategy, progress, risks, and impact to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Facilitate communication and collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and administrative personnel. Serve as a liaison between the cancer service line and other departments, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and objectives. Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in cancer care to inform program development and improvement efforts. Develop and share regular updates through written communications, meetings, and internal and external presentations on service line performance, including presentation of organizational metrics demonstrating progress toward achievement of strategic goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or university required. Master's degree preferred A minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare management required. Experience with a focus on oncology or cancer care preferred Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives, change management efforts, and cross-functional teams.
