Embedded Software Developer

Job TitlePenta Research is seeking candidates to work full-time onsite on the flight software development team.Position ResponsibilitiesThe candidate will:Work closely with development team members to develop embedded C++ flight softwareDevelop C++ embedded code in VxWorks RTOS in a DevSecOps environmentCreate and follow UML architectural design documentationSupport and present code reviewsBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field5+ years related experienceDevelopment experience with embedded C/C++Experience developing within a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)Knowledge of and experience in UML designExperience developing in a DevSecOps environmentKnowledge of Gitlab, Visual Studio or VSCodeExperience with LinuxKnowledge of standard software development and configuration management practicesPreferred QualificationsMaster's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field10+ years relevant experienceExperience developing in VxWorksExperience developing flight softwareTravel RequirementPosition location: Huntsville, AL.
