Dedication to every employee and client’s success; Innovation that matters - for our company and for the world; Trust and personal responsibility in all relationships –Teledyne Relays is EveryWhereYouLook!Position Summary and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the planning and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, equipment and labor capacity, and material supply. Coordinates the efficient movement of work orders and materials through the manufacturing floor. Communicates weekly and monthly production plans to immediate manager.Manages, selects, and develops floor personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.Works with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and others to achieve production schedulesTeledyne Technologies may, at its discretion, modify or add further duties not currently listed in this general job description.QualificationsThree or more years of experience as a production supervisorBachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university a plusSolid knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.Material Review Planning (MRP) knowledge requiredExperience working in the electronics industry requiredReceives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and process to meet goals outlined. Provides guidance to employees according to established policies and management guidance. Work is reviewed by management to measure meeting of objectives. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules. Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, outside customers, and functional peer groups at various management levels.
