Laboratory Director - Alexandria, Louisiana Salary Range: $47.00-$70.00/hr (based on experience)

- Direct and oversee daily lab operations across multiple disciplines
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and accrediting regulations
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of ~75 FTEs
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to meet organizational goals
- Oversee quality control, proficiency testing, and performance improvement initiatives
- Maintain cost-effective operations, supply chain oversight, and budget management
- Support phlebotomy operations and ensure high service excellence
- Drive operational improvements and implement new processes when needed
- Communicate clearly with staff, physicians, and executive leadership
- Recent acute-care laboratory supervisory experience (no minimum years required)
- State-licensed Medical Technologist
- Bachelor's degree or higher in:
- Clinical Laboratory Science
- Medical Technology
- Chemical, biological, or physical science
- ASCP certification required
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage large teams
- Ability to ensure departmental compliance, quality, and operational efficiency
