Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the retail location, including customer experience, employee engagement, operational execution, and financial results. The ideal candidate is an experienced retail leader with a passion for developing high-performing teams and driving operational excellence. This role is responsible for building a positive store culture, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and ensuring the location consistently achieves key business objectives. The General Manager is comfortable making decisions in a dynamic environment, solving complex operational challenges, and adapting to changing business needs. They understand the importance of maintaining a well-operated, customer-focused retail location that reflects the organization's standards and supports long-term business success. Key Responsibilities: Foster a positive, collaborative team culture where employees are empowered to work independently while contributing to shared business objectives. Develop and execute strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and achieve overall business objectives. Oversee daily retail operations, including sales, inventory management, compliance, staffing, and customer service. Promote a customer-focused environment that delivers a consistent, high-quality retail experience. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans to meet or exceed business goals. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Develop team members through coaching, training, performance management, and ongoing professional development. Manage store budgets, financial performance, expense controls, and profitability. Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers by enforcing health, safety, and security standards. Resolve employee and operational issues professionally while making sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Support employee engagement and retention through effective leadership and talent development. Create and manage staffing schedules to support business needs while maximizing operational efficiency. Oversee inventory control processes to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize loss, and ensure operational integrity. Administer and maintain Human Resources documentation and ensure compliance with all employment policies and procedures. Oversee the overall appearance, organization, and maintenance of the retail location. Participate in leadership meetings and training sessions, effectively communicating key initiatives and operational priorities to the management team. Partner with store leadership to communicate expectations, delegate responsibilities, and ensure efficient day-to-day operations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age. 3-5 years of retail or hospitality management experience. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to learn new software systems. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities as business needs require. Availability to work multiple closing shifts each week, including at least one weekend closing shift. Attendance at required leadership and store meetings.
