What You’ll Bring
- Valid and active Special Education Teaching License
- Demonstrated experience managing a High School Life Skills or self-contained classroom
- Skilled in creating and implementing individualized programs for students with intellectual, adaptive, and life skills needs
- In-depth knowledge of transition planning, functional goal writing, and adaptive behavior supports
- Leadership in directing paraprofessionals and fostering a positive, productive classroom environment
What You’ll Do
- Deliver targeted instruction in functional academics, daily living activities, personal independence, career readiness, and community integration
- Oversee classroom management and guide paraprofessionals dedicated to supporting student goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and transition plans tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs
- Track student progress and collaborate with families and school teams to support ongoing skill development
- Build structured routines and a supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive
