The Physical Therapist is an integral part the care team that helps change the lives of our patients and residents each day. As a Physical Therapist you are responsible for assessing the need for, developing and delivering physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation in an interdisciplinary environment including: Developing and implementing individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce and enhance performance Identifying need for and make referral to other disciplines to address the needs of the patient Instructing, educating and training patients and caregivers in the essential skills and functions needed to promote patient independence, productivity, and quality of life. Supervising Physical Therapist Assistants, provisional licensees, students and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards Position Requirements Valid physical therapy license in New York of practice, or eligibility to apply Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program Basic computer literacy skills Current CPR certification Able to wear PPE, including, but not limited to masks, face shields, goggles, gloves, and gowns as mandated.
