Job Description Job Description The Greer Group has an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity for an experienced Material Handler/Forklift Operator in the Canton, NC area. Pay: Starting at $19.50/hour (may be higher based on experience) Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Job Summary: The Material Handler will be responsible for safely moving, staging, and supplying materials throughout the production facility. This role requires prior forklift experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and safety standards. Responsibilities: Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Load, unload, and transport materials to and from production and storage areas. Supply production lines with necessary materials in a timely manner. Organize and maintain inventory and warehouse areas. Assist with shipping, receiving, and staging finished products. Perform basic inventory counts and maintain accurate records. Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications: Previous forklift experience required. Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred. Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and safety awareness. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
