Outpatient Psychiatrist

Academic Hospital in NYC is seeking an Outpatient Psychiatrist due to a pending retirement, hybrid schedule with 3 days WFH, and possibility of 4-day work week. This is a full time position with competitive compensation, benefits, and malpractice coverage!

Job Function:

• Day Shift.
• 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm.
• Part of outpatient department that has 7 adult psychiatrists and 1 child psychiatrist.
• Adult only care - med management appointments and new patient evaluations
• Expect 1-2 new patients per day, have therapy services on site
• Clinically rich environment (primarily medicare/medicaid) with a variety of psychopathologies and patients facing many economic pressures and social determinants.
• AllScripts EMR.
• No call required , all emergencies handled by call services and hospital psychiatrists on call.
• Academic environment - typically 3-4 PGY3 residents in the clinic at a time, opportunity to teach if desired.

• Active NY License.
• Residency training in Psychiatry, subspecialists will be considered (Geriatric/Forensic/CL/Addiction).
• Board Eligibility or Board Certification required.
• New residents graduating in the next 12 months are encouraged to apply!
